"I do not consider myself a figurative painter. Rather, a representationalist. Combinations of abstract shapes invariably create suggestions of form which sometimes are intended and at other times, viewer interpreted.

"Wrapped is a combination of my two halves. As a woman, wife and mother, I find myself in a strong place. Feminine. Free. Incognito, perhaps, living behind the veils of my husband's and children's personas. In these paintings, I define myself, apart from family, society and all that's labeling."
